Nothing on this page is a selection. Every review the firm has is at those links, including the ones below four stars, and you should read them before you call anybody — this firm included.

What the criticism says

It says the same thing, and it has said it since 2018.

Going back eight years, the reviews at one star are not about outcomes, fees, or competence. They are about not being able to reach the attorney. Two missed appointments. Two years and the only person the client ever met was the one who signed them up. A family member waiting on a claim with nobody returning the call.

That is a communication problem, and it has a rule number: Rule of Professional Conduct 1.4. A client is entitled to be kept reasonably informed and to have their questions answered in a reasonable time. Nine people said in public that it did not happen, and the rating across three independent platforms says the same thing the reviews do.

We are not going to argue with any of it here, and there is a second reason for that beyond it being unattractive. Rule 1.6 and Business and Professions Code § 6068(e)(1) make client confidences confidential, and ABA Formal Opinion 496 is directly on point: a lawyer may not disclose confidential information in response to a negative online review. "We called you six times" would be a disclosure. So a firm that responds to criticism with its side of the story is either breaking that rule or making it up.

Why there are no quotes on this page

Because of what a curated page would be, not because testimonials are prohibited.

They are not. Rule 7.1, Comment [4] permits them and asks for "an appropriate disclaimer or qualifying language" so that a reader does not "form an unjustified expectation that the same results could be obtained for other clients in similar matters."

Comment [3] is the problem: "This rule prohibits truthful statements that are misleading."

Every five-star review this firm has is real. Assembling only those into a page, while the public record sits at 4.2 and the most common criticism goes unmentioned, would be a set of true statements arranged to leave a false impression — which is what Rule 7.1(a) describes when it reaches a communication that "omits a fact necessary to make the communication considered as a whole not materially misleading."

And it would not work. The rating is one search away.

If you are a client and you cannot get an answer

Call (213) 380-9310 and ask for the managing attorney. Not intake, and not the person you have been dealing with. If it is after hours, the 24-hour line is (213) 463-6469.

That is the entire remedy this page can offer, and it is deliberately a small and specific one rather than a promise. A promise on a website is what the reviews above are already about.

What this page does not do

It does not describe outcomes. Representative recoveries, with the facts that produced them and the disclosure that Business and Professions Code § 6158.3 requires, are on a separate page: Results.

It does not mention money, because § 6158.1(c) makes a message referring to or implying money received by or for a client presumptively misleading unless the presumption is rebutted, and this page has no reason to go near it.

And it does not claim the problem is solved. How we write this site and Corrections are the same idea applied to the content: say what is wrong, date it, and let a reader check.
